Tuniq Tower 120 and EVGA 680i compatibility?

Does any one have the Tuniq Tower 120 installed in their EVGA 680i? I have read of problems with CPU heatsink/fan backplates bumping into protruding electronic parts on this m/b and requiring mods of the backplate to get it flush. If you do have it please let me know how installation went. Thanks. Eagerly awaiting my new EVGA 680i, Team Ram and qx6700. Have an EVGA 8800gtx, so this will complete my totally selfish, expensive and unnecessary computer upgrade. I realize Anantech used this cooler in their evga 680i review, but could not find any discussion of installation woes with it.

Interested in this also. Where did you read there wre issues?

My 680i should be here tuesday but it may be thursady or friday before i can install everything.

There have been issues with coolers that require back plates to fasten on the back of the m/b. There are projecting electronic parts back there that can get in the way and require modding the back plate. Here is the EVGA forum that discusses this with tasty pics that explain my concerns:

Someone on those forums just built with this m/b and cooler and said he had no problems so my question is answered. This is one of the very, very best cpu coolers out there, just not well known.

The Tuniq Cooler uses a pad system on the backplate that will conform over those capacitors, in fact you can use two pads to ensure the backplate does not damage them.

I asked this very question to GAR on XtremeSystems who has the Tuniq and the 680i (I'm using them myself in the next build I'm putting together in the next few days.

If you can offer any help on this it would be very welcome.

w00t, thanks too, I was considering this board for my system (although I'm not sure if I'm getting it, I want e-SATA :-( ), but definitely sweet!
