Hi!

I just got a Tuniq Tower 120 and the fan controller appears to be now integrated to the main fan power connector.

I do not want to use the included power connector. Instead I would like to plug it directly to a motherboard header!

Can this be done!

According to sunbeams site they're still just shipping with their basic 3 pin fan controller included, could you get a pic of it for us?

I'll try and post a picture.

The original Tuniq tower had the ugly wires with the 3 pin connector to be plugged to the motherboard header, and the provided fan controller could be connected to the 3 pin plug on the fan itself.

With the new Tuniq Tower 120 LED I received, the 3 pin fan connector goes directly to the fan controller and from the fan controller to the motherboard, and it is all just one piece all together.

Why don't you just set it on high on the controller and let the bios control it anyways. Or is the point that you're trying to clean up the wires/looks? If so, just chop off about an inch and a half above the 3 pin connector, and atleast that far from the contoller and solder the leads together. Or just grab some 3 pin connectors and some pins from your local radioshack or fry's and chop off above the controller, crimp some new pins on and pop the pins into a new connector and bobs your uncle. More expensive but, theoretically easier would be to just buy a new fan.
