Does this software do what it claims, and cleans up windows xp operating systems?
Recommended by anyone??

If you really want to clean up Windows use CCleaner. Any windows tuning software is garbage, with very few exceptions.

EDIT - I definitely would never buy a product that "Frees up system memory." I would also avoid anything that "cleans the registry."

Well then you're missing out on some decent software. You actually don't even have to buy it. Cacheman XP is a great memory management tool which comes in a freeware version. There's a whole bunch of settings you can mess around with, but the basic purpose of the program is to clear up system memory - either at predesignated levels or you can force it whenever you want.

tuneup utilities 2006 is an awesome program. one of the best i have used so far.
