I recently started commuting 60 mins daily. I have been out of the mobile audio scene for awhile now so I wanted to get your guys' opinions.

Cell reception is spotty so streaming services are out.

My vehicle has a AUX port so I was thinking using a couple older 8GB iPods that I could fill with music, is Ebay still the best place to get used CDs?

Am I missing another solution?

Thanks.

why can't you use your phone and get a minijack to minijack cable?

also, your car doesn't have blutooth?

If your car has no BT audio streaming capabilities but has an AUX input then the cheapest is to use a 3.5mm cable to whatever source you want to use (phone, ipod, tablet..etc). An Android based device would be ideal because you can just drag and drop your music files onto the phone and don't have to deal with iTunes with iOS.

If your scenario is the same as above but you don't want to deal with a cable then you can get one of those BT to AUX adapter. My car has BT for calls only so I got one of these to use with the AUX input after getting tired of dealing with the cable. Adapter turns on/off with the ignition and pairs automatically. I'm getting a BT remote next to control vol, track selection..etc cause it's a pain to do it on the phone.

If your stereo has a USB port then you may be able to just get a USB flash drive, load it up with music and plug it in.
