Tuner card/device recommendation?

As I mentioned in a previous post, I am replacing my old ATI All-in-Wonder X600 w/an ATI X1950, to be able to run the native resolution of 1920 x 1200 of a new Dell 2407WFP flatpanel I have on order (and to take advantage of the 1950's dual-link DVI).

While I did not order the new monitor purely for its ability to do PIP and PBP, as well as all its media connections, I do believe I will miss the ability of the old All-in-Wonder's built-in tuner. As someone clued me in in my previous post, ATI no longer makes the All-in-Wonder line.

In looking over the choices at Newegg, I was a bit overwhelmed by the choices in both tuner cards, and external devices. I'm asking for recommendations on both formats from you folks: both an internal card recommendation, as well as an external tuner device.

I'm asking for recces for both formats because--while I do have open PCI slots in my Intel 925 mobo, I'm using the Prescott (Press-hott) processor, and as I will be adding the new (and quite large, from what I've read) ATI 1950 card, which in itself must generate no small amount of heat, as well as take up considerable space, I'm not sure I'll actually be able to add another card to the bus. But just in case, I'd like to know which internal card is currently the best choice.

Conversely, in case I have to use an external device, what about one such as the Hauppage device? Or another that may work better?

Thanks in advance.

The Hauppage PVR-150 is the most Hauppage popular card for standard TV broadcast.
Can be had new for $100 and less

Watch TV with remote
Copy TV programs to hard drive mpg2
Copy VHS and camcorder to MPG2 files
Software ain't much to write home about.

My choice was the PVR-350 but then again if you don't have much room or your other card will get too hot, you don't want to damage it.

Well, I'm kind of leaning towards an external device. I do have open slots, but--w/out boring you w/my card setup--I have some heat concerns. Plus, I'm planning on gettin a laptop later this year, and it would be nice to be able to move a USB-based tuner between the desktop and laptop.

However, if the external devices are no good, I naturally wouldn't want to go that way. What is the general opinion of the external device I mentioned in my OP?
