Many of the tech news outlets reported yesterday that Verizon, the owners of Yahoo, who are the owners of Tumblr, are banning anything even remotely adult ... if you know what I mean. 😉
I always figured the Tumblr model was one based on ad revenue and while the minority of sites were adult-oriented 😉 they probably generated the majority of ad revenue. The ongoing detachment of major corporations from the revenue-generating surfing public is wide to made jumping the Grand Canyon look trivial in the eyes of Evil K. I now wonder why such properties are bought when they just get train wrecked by their new owners.
Who sees a G-Rated Tumblr being anything but a failure? Also, who sees Tumblr's replacement ... because inquiring minds want to know. 😎
