TUMAVEKO.DLL Please help with virus...

Hi!

Trying to fix a computer that is infected with a nasty virus..

tumaveko.dll

Everytime the PC restarts, or an EXE is trying to be used, I get an error about system32/tumakevo.dll is not a valid windows application...

I have tried the latest AVG, Avira, Spybot and nothing helps...

Some programs cannot be installed, such as AntiMalwarebytes or Super Antispyware...

PC is a compaq C2D 2GB or RAM... XP

Restart PC into Safe mode and See if MalwareBytes will install, also scan using Avira in Safe Mode as well.

Yes, try installing Malwarebytes or Superantispyware in Safe Mode and running a full scan on your system.

Same problem in safe mode, and that's using the administrator account!

If you have broadband and can burn a .ISO to a CD, then see if you can download the F-Secure Rescue CD using this link:

If so, then burn that .ISO to CD, boot the computer from the CD, and have it update & scan, as a preliminary move to help clear the way for further removal with Malwarebytes and Superantispyware.
