Question TUF X299 Mark 1 - best RAM and M.2 drive?

I'm looking for one 4x 8GB kit or two 2x 8GB RAM kits for 32GB total. Something with red heat spreaders or red LEDs would be nice since I'm already going to have to red lighting in the case. Prefer something that doesn't look like it belongs to a 12 year old though.

I'm also looking for a M.2 drive. 500 GB minimum, 1GB max. Reliability and longevity are preferred over speed.

The CPU is an i7-7820x. If I overclock, it will just be a little bit.

For M.2 drives you can't beat the 970 Pro for Samsung for endurance, reliability, warranty, and it's pretty hard to beat for speed, too. It's kind of expensive currently around $300/1TB though. A runner up would be the 970 Evo Plus at $220/1TB. $200 if you buy it from best buy through Google Express as a first time buyer and use the $20 off code.
