I don't normally host the party, just putting it out there for others to remember. If you say you're joining then man up and join. I don't care what the wife is doing or what she's watching. This is call of duty time and she needs to understand that.

What more warning do you need? It's Tuesday. that's COD4 night.
c'mon man! Get on a schedule! I don't get much time to game but carve out tuesday and thrusday night for AT gaming.
It's like trying to herd cats. You just gotta state a direction, a time and a place. We had some good stuff going for a while with COD4 and Halo custom games.

EDIT: COD4 is my first FPS. I beat it on regular, and a few of the levels on hardened. I played online for the first time yesterday and got absolutely BLASTED. My kill ratio was 1:2. I played about 6 games today and actually did pretty well. I finished in second one game, and actually got 20 kills with a high streak of 6. The game gets a lot easier to play online once you get to know the maps and find the right spots.

I was busy last night from 8:30 on but I'm not going to sit in a lobby another Tuesday night until I'm sure some people are going to show up.
i got on around 11:30 pm EST and played until about 2 am.
the only problems are:
i only know a few gamertags
i don't usually read ATCG after i leave work
i suck at multiplayer cod4
i suggest, and this is a bit of work so i understand if no one wants to do it, that if someone starts a tuesday night cod4 thread that they update the OP with the gamertags of people who have stated they will log in and the time they've stated they will be on. this way we won't have to scroll through the thread to find people who might be on when we plan on logging in.

I played one game with spidey last night, then he disappeared... I was tearing it up all night though. I have good nights and bad nights, and last night was a great night.
Spidey - you mentioned that you did better when you picked up a weapon with a "laser" on it. I think you were talking about the red dot sight, which is IMO the best sight. To use that, you have to give up the grenade launcher that you probably didn't even know you had. You have to kill either 25 or 50 people with the M16 (or whatever weapon) to get it. You go into Create a Class and create a class that has the M16, and it'll prompt you for which attachment you want to use - select the Red Dot Sight if it's enabled.
Man, claymores are so much fun. They're so much more useful than RPGs. I use the M16, not a sniper rifle, But I don't run and gun, I find a place with good cover and a good view of where people will be and pick them off from a distance. Claymores are great for covering my back or for just covering an area where someone is likely to run. I guess most people don't use them because they're grenade whores, but I haven't unlocked that perk and don't know that I'd use it if I had.

thanks mugs, my ISP is doing tons of upgrades so I was having some difficulty. Yes I was talking about the laser site and the gun was a burst gun. People were slaughtering me with it even at medium to long range. 2,3 shots.

I don't know if there are any other guns with burst fire in the game, but it was probably the M16. M16 is a very powerful gun, but the downside is that if you miss with the first burst you are likely screwed. The red dot sight does help at longer distances I think, because the iron sights just get in the way and make it hard to aim.
Two big things that differentiate this from Halo are
1. You don't have much health, so don't try to run and gun; be cautious.
2. You can kill from a long distance even without a sniper rifle. You have to have good eyes and be able to detect minute changes to see a guy hiding in the distance.
I usually work my way around the outer portion of a map to reduce the possibility of a guy coming at me from behind.
Are you guys playing CoD4 tonight? I don't see a thread for tonight, yet. I've only logged in once for multiplayer on my own for about three games. I'm sure I'll get destroyed, but I'd rather you guys get the XP than some random 13 year old hurling random ethnic slurs.

We got randomly matched up as I was in a party of four. However, it was cool seeing you in there. I had to do a second take on your name since it's common to see it on my friends list but not in-game, so something was different.
