tube vs flat panel?

When will we see flat panels out sell the good old crt?

Also, are flat panels anywhere close the same image quality as CRTs?

I'd say when the price difference between them becomes closer, then the flat panels will sell more. A 19" crt is a couple hundred, while a 19" flat panel nears a thousand, if not more.
I'd say the image quality is close to the same, though I'm nowhere close to an expert on the subject matter. I have a 17" flat panel, and occasionally words or lines will blur, but all I have to do is scroll up and down and its fixed. But, as long as I can play counterstrike with my monitor, and see my folders well enough to click on them, then the image quality is perfect to me

the quality of crt is better right now, when it isnt and price goes down we'll see the switch.

right now, i'd go with tube..
easier on my eyes personally, when i play games

all i know is that my 19" crt is crisp as hell at 1600x1200 32 bit... wouldnt want anything else
