Tualatin shipping, but doesn't look like many of them.

"Intel is shipping out the Tualatin chip to OEMs:

Intel has begun shipments of its first 0.13-micron processor ? the Tualatin ? to some motherboard OEM clients this month. Currently, first-tier motherboard manufacturers like Asustek Computer and Gigabyte Technology only ship 1,000 Tualatin-based motherboards per month. According to Intel?s roadmap, the Tualatin is aimed at notebooks and Pentium 4 desktops, so motherboard makers will produce Tualatin products only based on orders they have received and focus on the Pentium 4 in the second half of the year."

So, in other words, limited supply = high price? Though this just sounds funny to me,

<< According to Intel?s roadmap, the Tualatin is aimed at notebooks and Pentium 4 desktops >>

..Pentium 4? Misprint?

Oh, don't read anything into what I wrote. 🙂 That little blurb was really poorly written.

I think what the article meant to say was, "According to Intel?s roadmap, the Tualatin is aimed at notebooks and Pentium 4 is aimed at desktops."

I honestly don't know the roll out schedule of the Tualatin. But it isn't at all unusual for any cpu maker to release for the notebooks first, followed by the OEMs.

And I have no idea what the motherboard manufacturers plans are for releasing their products.

I don't really care what the price is, a Tualatin will most likely be my next system.

Dualie if at all possible.

Viper GTS

Heck, i've been eyeing one up for a while. I do know my next board will probally be a TUSL2, so the 1.2 tully will be icing on the cake. I just hope there not an arm and a leg..

Duel tualatins would be very nice, but if its on a via board, i don't feel like messing with it
