Tualatin-256 and 815E

Do any of the 815 chipsets available now support the new upcoming Tualatin Core for Pentium III? I am debating whether or not to buy a motherboard and want an 815 solution but i dont know If I have to wait for a new 815 chipset for the tualatin or can buy one now. Any advice, suggestions, or comments would be greatly appreciated. Also when can I expect the new upgraded 815E if I must wait for one to get tualatin 256 support?

Thanks,

None of the i815(E/P) chipset support the Tualatin processor at the moment. Intel will produce the B-stepping of the (G)MCH some time in the future.

You will need to buy a new board later if you want support for the Tualatin.

yes, unfortunately i thought maybe i could update the i815E chipset on the CUSL2 i plan to start using over vhristmas break. but apparently a new board with Tualatin-256 support cannot be purchased until intel begins producing the i815(e/p) with the B stepping in the memory controller hub. i posted a similar question not too long ago, only to find the same thing out, much to my dismay...

I have read the specs and stuff on the new COre and what it's suppost to do for the P III but I am still Not Sure If I am going to need that upgrade option or not. The Other Upgrade option is a DDR platform from Via. I have been leery of going with a Via platform because of their stability reputation. Sounds to me like I better wait and do smore research. If anyone has any other suggestions or comments please feel free to say anything. Oh an by the way Andy, where are you geting your info? I would like to look at it if you could give me a web page or something.

Thanks,
