Why is it natural that most guys try to read in to things when they should just take it at face value. May be she had something important to do and had to leave. Hence the, 'ttyl'.
thereds is right. It does not mean anything, I know myself when I am talking, sometimes I have to run because my kids are into something, or someone comes over. So would you rather hear ttyl, or nothing at all?
For me, it depends on the context.
If you guys are having a very fun and entertaining conversation, then a 'ttyl' probably means she's really got to do something.
However, if you guys are dragging on about how the 'weather sux' and 'school sux' and you have to substitute little because you don't know what else to say... well then...
some people have no problem barging offline like that. does she normally do it? my gf does it all the time to me... it used to really bug me but i sorta got used to it.
I have a "friend" like that. I was nice to her and everything and I think she took it the "wrong way." <-- I could be dead wrong about this.
I would try to talk to her and get to know her (only as a friend) and she did talk to me for a while. Then after a while, she just says she's busy all the time and after a few words, she says "ttyl" and leaves.
Knowing how them girls are so complicated (hehe.. like I'm not ) Either way, it doesn't bother me. I can spend that chatting time in this forum.
<< Is this a form of rejection by girls? I mean when i chat with this girl online and she'd chat but quickly goes away with "ttyl". >>
hehe... don't say that... i often do that to my guy friends when chatting for a short time, but it doesn't mean that we're trying to avoid them -- it just means we really need to get off the computer! (at least, that's how i rationalize it )
