To answer your question simply. yes this would be good for overclocking a P4. I have my p4 running off of a 300W DEER power supply.

I have one of their 470W units in my case. Runs 5 fans, and my 1.6@2.1 Soon to be 1.8@2.4. I have one of their 330W units (or is it 350) in a different case that has 6 fans and another soon to be 1.8 for my wife.

My 470W was only $70. has 3 fans, and nice sheathing on the PS cable.
