TT Tsunami Case Fans

I have a Thermaltake Tsunami Case with 2 120mm fans and a 90mm fan. The mobo I'm using is the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum. I connected the 4 pin connectors to my PSU and used it to power the fans, however there is this 1 yellow wire with a small 3 pin connector coming from the 2 120mm fans. I connected them to the mobo, but they don't seem to be doing anything, I can't seem to control the fans with the mobo. I noticed that although it is a 3 pin connector, there is only 1 wire going to it. What does this do? and is there anyway to control my fan speeds?

They monitor the fan speeds, i cant seem to control them with my mobo either. All they do for me, like i said, is monitor the speeds.

If you want to run them slower then u may need to undervolt them or get an accual fan speed controller.

Is it possible to rewire the fan connecter so that the power runs through the motherboard instead of those damn molex connecters?
