TT Big typhoon question...

Thermaltake Big Typhoon how good this thing is??? Does anyone own it?? Does it fit to an msi k8n neo4 mobo??

I saw it in a giant review and it was in the top 5. I think it was better than the XP series but I don't remenber where I saw it, sorry.

iirc I read a review about it a while back and it did pretty well. You'd have to switch off the fan though cuz the thing is loud as hell, but it performs well.

I'd suggest going with an XP-90 or similar cooler that isn't ridiculously large and heavy, as you will run into compatibility and mounting issues if you go XP 120 or TT Big Typhoon.

I have the sink on my back-up system right now (Abit AV8, A64). The cooler works very well and with the stock fan, it's almost silent. Thermaltake has a option for a VR fan that you can adjust the speed on and you get even better performance out of it.
At stock settings I was getting 27c Idle and 36c load and at mild OC of 250x10 @ 1.6v I got a idle of 32c and load of 47c. Remember that thse temps are with the stock fan turning at about 1300 RPM on my system. The optional fan will do much better.

I wonder about this. I seem to recall hearing about people who got lousy performance out of XP120 units. One suggested cause was some defective units made it past QC because some people noticed that the heatpipes don't seem to mate with the base too well on the ones that don't work well.
