TSX owners

In reference to this thread, I just want to know how much you got the car OTD for.

I went to a couple of dealers today and they were willing to let the car go for ~$27k which would mean around $30k OTD.

I got an online quote from an Acura dealer selling me the car for $25500, I have never dealt with any internet sales department so I assume there is no bargaining space for that price? The other online quotes I got gave me the run around probably wanting me to go over there instead. This is for California BTW so I'd like to compare what other people got their TSX for. TIA. 🙂

honest question?

why would you buy a tsx when you could get a tl. If your already going to pay that much might as well pay a little more and get the tl.

Thanks 🙂

They're selling me one with navi for $27600 before tax/license, but I don't really need it. I'm guessing that'll come out to right about how much you paid OTD.

Seems like some people on TSX forums paid $25-26k OTD, some with navi even. 😕 🙁

Well edmunds TMV on the TL is $31k, so it'll come out to maybe $33-34k OTD. That's a little too much for me. $27k is tops. 🙂

Do NOT compare out-the-door prices on the internet. Some states have different taxes and fees than others. For example, my state has no sales tax and minimal vehicle registration fees. My OTD cost would then (all others things being equal) be much less than yours in CA.
Look to get the car for as close to invoice as possible. If you're concerned about getting the best deal at the dealership, then use a car buying service like AAA or carsdirect.com

edit: and no, there is generally no haggling with the internet sale department, where all sales are "mini's".

edit2: after some brief research, I'm gonna say that some people on the tsxforums are full of sh!t

Ok thanks. Invoice is $24,147 so I guess that's what I have to work with. Two of the dealers I've dealt with so far are around $25.5k.

I'll keep researching... 🙂

Without navi I guess? with navi it would have been a nice deal.

Yes that is without the navigation option.

I dealer recommended to me by friends gave me a quote of $25.3k. Hopefully a manual would be a little cheaper, I doubt it though. I'll go check it out tomorrow. 🙂

If you don't get a manual you will definitely regret it. That engine was never intended for an auto, period.

If you read the other thread, almost every used TSX I found were auto. 🙁

Unfortunately, it looks like manual and auto cost the same brand new. 🙁

Hopefully they'll let up a few hundred because it's manual. 😀

What kinda lease payments would it be for that sucker w/ navi, $1500 down, and excellent credit?

I'm telling you, you won't like an auto. It'll feel really slow IMHO. Its already a 3300 lb car with 160 ft-lbs of torque. My car has the same type of dyno curve and torque figures and weighs about 400 lbs less and even with a manual it doesn't always feel as sporty as it should.

Probably around $350-380 for 48 months /12k miles

Yeah I'm not looking for an auto, but I'm not out to 'race' or anything. I was just brought up driving a manual and I miss it. 😱
