TSWeb questions

Setup TSweb so i can terminal serve into my machine at home through a browser. I tested it at home and it works great. But when I tried to get to it from work or outside my lan I can connect to the webserver but when I put the name of the server into the box and hit connect it comes back saying it can not find the server.

I opened up the port for TS along with port 80.

Is there something I am missing? I am running Win2K server with IIS 5.0. My impression was if there is software to be installed the webserver would serve it up and install the activex control.

My first thought here would be that your employer has the installation/download of ActiveX controls disabled. My employer does the same thing unfortunately. As long as you have the web port (80) and the term serv port (3389) forwarding through your touer it should work on any machine that can use Active X controls.

One solution I have found around this is simply zipping up the XP term serv client executable (and the accompanying .dll file) and unzipping them at work. No installation required, and it gives you all the options that TSWeb doesn't.
