I tend to give away books I have already read so the knowledge passes on. I do have a large reference library though so your half right. The wife and I have thousands of books were nutters that way. What ends up happening is I give or lend the book forget who I lent it to and have to buy another copy eventually. Had to do that recently when I wanted to reread a chapter of the Holographic Universe one of my faves.
