Tsunami or US Nuclear Bombs???

Do not think Tsunami was just an unfortunate incident and could have happened to any country.

WHY HASN'T AMERICA SIGNED THE "CTBT" YET???

Invading Iraq solely for capturing the Oil resources so they can continue thier research for even more exotic weapons. Iraq was the easiest target and America knew the resources in Iraq would feed them BIG. Four more years for the Bush Government ensures free Oil for 4 years.

It is reported the earth-quake had the punch of 9000 Nuc bombs. I think something is untold and its not the end of the story.

An earth quake so strong and no one ever detected it. No warnings and out of nowhere 200,000 ppl lost thier lives.

It wont be a surprize if America attacks Iran and other countries because the intention is clear now.

The president talks of Freedom.. huh... Calls Anti-Americans, mostly religious people as fundamentalists.

But how can he be so stupid because all these happenings make me feel like its more about Religion than its about freedom.

The conspiracy since 1970's, Israel and America, never wanted any Muslim states to get nuclear capabilities. 1 of the 3 targets has been nuetralized. Iran will be yet another easy picking and then its turn for Pakistan ( im dead.. damn! )

Shame on Mr. Bush who took advantage of the grannies scaring them of Al-qaeda and terror, free votes, good stradegy nevermind.

Back to the Tsunami disaster, i want everyone to have his views.

I should mention this that i love America and its people. The people haven't turned bad rather are misguided by politics. Its a common thing in all countries, you need brainwashing to get extra votes but i hope the People of America take a stand against thier existing government to ensure the world truly deserves the "Freedom" which is talked false by the president.

May be if u watch SkyNews and BBC World instead of Fox News. 😛

Earthquakes don't give warnings. Scientists have been trying for years to predict them and still cannot.

My god, what is this...

There has yet been a reliable predictor of earthquakes. Why is it now the fault of the US that the nations of the Indian Ocean did not have their own monitoring station? We have been doing it in the Pacific (along with Japan and S. American nations) for decades, at extremely low costs. So you hate the US government when they protect their interests, but you also hate them when they fail to protect the rest of the world.

Sorry, but a couple crazy Mullahs with nukes scares me (and should scare most of the world) as much or more than this tsunami. Look at what we are doing as self defense, because we know exactly where those nukes are intended to go. We also know that Iran (and some other nations over there) have very explcit ties with people who are very willing to use these weapons. The old nuclear deterent (nukes prevent the use of eachother as no one nation wants to be responsible for the outcome) is gone now that thrid party groups will have easy access. The protections diplomacy no longer exist.


Back onto nukes and tsunami. There is no way that any known nuke is large enough to create a tsunami the size of this one. Earthquakes release many magnitudes more enrgy than even the most powerful 90 Megaton Russina nuclear weapons. A 9.0 range earthquake is massive, on the order of the power of every nuclear weapon in the world combined.

I know this is a common theory is the US hating Mid East and if anything yells warnings to the rest of the world about the ignorance of the general population. Why is this scary... Because people that buy this idiocy are more willing to buy other crap. Your governments are not the most forthcoming group about world issues. Furthermore, the BBC is about the least balanced media organization in the world at the moment. In short, the majority of your news and propaganda is biased crap. No wonder people in the Mid East think it is possible to create earthquakes, or that the Jews attacked the US on 9-11, etc... You need to face the reality of your ignorance.

As for you implication that the tsunami was generated by nukes since no one detected it. Its quite clear your haven't thought this through completely. At best you, yourself just admitted that the max warning we would have is about 5 hours. In that time, scientist would have recognize this threat, pin point the locations of threat, inform thier supervisors, who in turn attempt to inform government officials, who have to dtermine the correct policy in the remaining time left, and then implement it. All that has to be done in 5 hours max. And we're talking about countries without the communications infrastructure of richer nations. Now if it was a nuke, every spy satellite on that side of the world would have picked up the blast cloud. Those countires include russia, chine, and several european countries. They, especially china would have no problems blowing the whistle on what you suggest. In addition, you also mentioned the tsunami was of o a force equal to 9000 nuclear bombs. 9000! Do you realize the magnitude of that number.

If you have problems with bush and his policies then join the club, but your wild rantings are not lending credibility to thier cause at all.

Wrong. Tsunamis don't take hours to build up. The USGS detected the earthquake. Tsunamis travel at 500 mph - how far was the source fron Indonesia? You think you can run that fast? Next.

Actually it slows down as it approaches shallower water. That doesn't always necessarily imply land. Additionally, there are some deep trenches close to land areas where a tsunami would built up very aburptly so a steep slope or gentle slope would have an effect too.

Actually, if they had an hour or so of warning, the death toll probably would have been 1/10th or less of what it was; all people needed to do was move a mile or so inland to be quite safe.

But the fault isn't with the US, by a long stretch - that's ridiculous. The fault isn't even 'fault' really; communication systems just aren't in place in the affected countries to allow an evacuation order to be executed. Tsunamis are a very low risk, historically in the region where this one occured. This was a tragedy, and maybe something can be learned from it, but as far as I can see, it wasn't anyone's 'fault'.

True you said hours so I gave 5 hours as a reasonable number based on that. I think its interesting that you think a country that wasn;t even able to correctly detect the existence of WMD's is somehow so vastly technologically advanced compared to the rest of the developed world that they can have weapons that the rest of the world believes is impossible with current technology.

Let me give you a much more valid possibility. An earthquake occured under the water (at a known active fault line). It produced a Tsunami. Due to the poor region in which it was created there was little warning. I think you'd blaim any natural disaster on the US.

Or if you want a ridiculous crazy threory. how about this. God sent the Tsunami as punishment for muslim violence. Yes, that's crazy but no less so than your stupid theory. I'm quite sure if the Tsunami had hit us then you would be claiming exactly that.

Uh, yeah. it is about the same as all of the combined weapons in the world at the moment. Now if this was to be an attack on the Muslims of the world - I think we would have set the thing off in the middle of the Persian Gulf. The funny thing is EVERY security agency in the world also came to this conclusion. France, Germany, Russia, China, etc... It was not a question of whether or not they existed, it was how to handle the problem. One was more inspections, the other was to finally fix the problem and depose Saddam.

My money is that the weapons are still around, most likely in Syria. A few may be in desert outposts. Iraq is a large desolate place. In the end however, I am sure that history will be on the side of every spy agency in the world.

This is the reason why ppl like me get p*ssed off so much.
