I've been there. The island on the left has a temple on it. It's at the very bottom tip of India.

The video was coverd in a place called KanyaKumari (The virgin angel) in India which is the last tip of Indian peninsular where Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian occan meat.
This video footage was captured on 25th of December 2004 probably at 10:30 AM.

You can see the water had receded during the lower part of the tsunami waveform and exposed the seafloor. That attracted people and some tried to move their boats. There are two islands also, one with what appears to be a statue and the other with the temple mentioned above. Near the end of the footage, the main tsunami wave crest crashes against those islands and you can see people there. :(

The amplitude was more than what I expected to see.:Q

The loud wind recorded on this footage makes an auditory illusion in my computer stereo speakers. The sound seems to come from behind me even without EAX.

We need a 'scared' emoticon.

Pics of the place and some info.

Zoiks! :Q Doesn't seem like it's been that long. I must be getting old.

Don't worry about it, I'm in the same boat you're in. I lost my concept of time a long time ago. Things that came out in the mid 90's still seem new to me.
