seems like the stock 120mm case fans that come with the Tsunami Dream are a bit weak for my rig. according to its model name, the fans are capable of 2850 rpm, and can push 56 CFM. however on the chasis spreadsheet it lists those fan as half that rpm so i don't know whats going on there. in anycase, i think i may need to shop for some 120mm fans that can push maybe 90+ CFM.

my current temps (with just the 120mm front intake, and 92mm side intake, panaflo 92mm h1a on xp-90 for CPU, and stock maglev chipset fan cooler) are listed as with speedfan:

CPU: 45-46C
PWM: 50-52C
Chipset: 54-55C

at IDLE temps! I pulled off the window side and pointed my desk fan on the board and overall temps dropped from 5-6C. Its still running hot for my taste but there's a difference right there.

ive thought about watercooling but thats going to requires funds i don't have plus ive already spent money on the xp-90 and the fan with it so... my idea is to hook up stronger 120mm intake and exhaust fans to the case, and perhaps buy one of the Vantec slot coolers and mod it to install near the HD cage so the double fans can blow upwards across the chipset and mosfets.

what do you think?

here is a pic of what the current layout looks like. bear in mind that a 92mm side intake sits slightly above the cpu so that half of the wind being blown inwards cover the lower RAM slots and the other on the panaflo itself.

specs plz ?

45 degrees for the CPU is hot [but not damaging] for a stock Venice, but is excellent for a Prescott...

ba better wirign job might help it looks like alot of clutter on top of the hard drive, even for no airlfow, i woul try to keep it clean there.... btw, you have positive case pressure with two intakes adn one outtake, try increasing the outtake/exhaust

Seems odd to me. I have same case...3500+ winches @ 2.4 ....2 120mm's (in and exhaust) running @ 1600rpm (40-50cfm's) and an xp120 with a 120mm fan @1200 rpm. My temps are on average now during the summer-->cpu=36C idle>48C load....ambient temps are 73F. What are your ambient temps? Those fans that came with the case are way loud IMO but push a lot of cfm's....way more than the 120mm's I have now. You didn't mention a rear exhaust fan when you said what your "current setup" is...is it running? Unless your ambient temps are near or above 80F something is wrong. HSF applied w/ TIM correctly?

You mean the stock case fans? I think the two are running at max RPMs but I have the sensor plugged into the board. I might try removing it and see if it goes maximum but in anycase, they aren't loud or powerful at all. :( If I place my hand into the HD cage , I can hardly feel anything being blown in from the intake 120 mm fan (the TT-1225?). The same with the exhaust which is the TT Smart LED one. I feel some air coming out of the case from it.

The Heatsink I'm sure I installed properly with some AS5. Whats odd was at some point temps began at around 39-42C for CPU which was okay because I figured it takes a long while for the AS5 to apply. Eventually it dropped to 32-33C but now its up to 40-42C. Probably from OC'ing it to 2.4 Ghz and the room is rather warm since its the summer. My concern is the second and third readings which are the mosfets on the side and the NB chipset. Both are over 122 degrees Fahrenheit!
