A well earned retirement for one of the fathers of the modern semiconductor industry. He is up there with the legends like Andy Grove, Jerry Sanders, and Gordon Moore.

Wow he was 87 years old. I guess that puts into perspective how early in their careers people in their 50s and 60s like Piednoel and Stacy Smith were when they jumped ship from Intel.


Hopefully Intel won't have to suffer through another 20 years of Brian Kraznich.

Intel has a mandatory retirement age of 65. Krzanich is 57, so Intel has a maximum of 8 more years with BK at the helm.

But yes, TSMC was Chang’s baby and he is retiring with TSMC at the top of its game. A truly incredible career. I hope C.C. Wei and Mark Liu are up to the task of keeping this business in top shape.
