I'm 5'9, about 180 lbs... medium build... (i.e. saying that I am stocky would be an (over)exaggeration)...

I have slightly broader shoulders than the average person of my height/weight, and my arms and shoulders are probably bigger than average (I've been lifting off and on for the past 7 years)

When I buy normal tshirts -- I usually shop in Macy's so DKNY, Polo or like Club Monaco to name a few.... some fit fine, but some will bunch and my sleeves will roll up, kind of making two /\'s by my shoulders... I've noticed that club monaco shirts don't bunch as do most 3/4 sleeve shirts I've had ...

Also those terry cloth-ish tshirts fit me well usually... I don't know what it is called it's like a softer cotton, much softer to the touch than say a hanes tshirt.. what are these called?

anyway, anyone experience anything like that? know of any places that sell shirts that don't do this?

just a question mang

thanks,

daun

The best undershirts I have ever purchased are sold at Target. They are the spandex-ish material that will conform to your body instead of scrunching up. I they are the Target brand (can't remember the exact name).

Hah yah I have that problem too actually. However I've found some shirts that seem to fit a little snugger around the sleeves but also have the sleeves starting out a little wider over the shoulders, and won't make that pointy thing that happens when the shoulder of the shirt starts before your actual shoulder starts.

Typically I have to get 2XL shirts if I get stuff from Armani. I have found that some DKNY t-shirts fit me well in XL. Also Claiborne t-shirts seem to fit me well in XL.

All I do usually though is just try on t-shirts before I buy em. I mean I have to because I don't want to try them on and then have em not fit how I feel comfortable in them.

EDIT:

typically t-shirts made by like Nike, Nautica, Polo, Hilfiger ... those won't fit me that well because when I get an XL shirt where the shoulders are wider, the sleeves will be so wide/long that it looks goofy. So I tend to stay from those brands.

yeah -- i wear a large usually -- medium is like a belly shirt, xl is like a nightgown...

i think i may just go with an arsenal of 3/4's

that may be weird tho
