Sure glad TSA keeps us safe from visiting diplomats. Bonus points for patting only her down out of the whole 30-person party and embarrassing her and ticking off India. Well done TSA.

Hey hey, Jackson, MS...

I used to live outside of there, if the TSA had not molested them, they would have gotten shot or mugged (maybe both) around town.

Its time for the Lemon Law plan and to identify the real root of the airline security problem which is foolish human taboo against nudity.

Just strip everyone naked at the entrance, run them through security, shoe horn them into planes, the more crowded the better, and then its ever so easy to see who is carrying a weapon or not.

And that way everyone can feel equally humiliated and no one can get up on a soap box and say they were more humiliated than anyone else.

And as humans lose gradually lose their taboos over nudity, it will all become a non issue. Meanwhile, in terms of those rascals who stick weapons up their body cavities, we will still need full body scan machines, but it becomes a non issue when the human eye can see their junk already.

Of course there is one small flaw in my plan, especially in cold climates, at the end of the journey the passenger must be re united with their street shoes and clothes. And if the air lines don't do a much better job than they do now in terms of losing baggage, there will be some very unhappy campers.

Not if we finally embrace the future and opt for the universal silver jump-suit with a big "vee" collar and some sort of fruit-boot.

Wait, how did the TSA "screw up"? Did they do anything they weren't supposed to do?

I hate the new punitive pat downs and the nekkid scanner, but in this case the TSA was just doing the same thing they do to everyone else. As far as I can tell from the article the TSA did exactly what they were supposed to do within the guidelines. So what if some woman from India doesn't like it?

You're a tool. Dip/red passports in most countries means you don't go through the scrutiny of security, just by having the passport means the country of origin trusts you and has done their homework on your background. Poorly trained security has no business even questioning this woman. If she had been white they would've let her walk, I hope the lot of them get fired for this. Any other country would be in serious shit if they did even 10% of this to one of your dignitaries.

As a protest I think every country should pat-down your diplomats on entry TSA-style. Every friggin' one. Would show you fucks just how stupid your 'security' really is.

i have an idea.. why not have a room called "bomb room".. you are free to walk to the airport.. into the terminal.. you have to pass 1 at a time through the bomb room. the room is setup with high tech stuff, that if it detects a bomb it will trigger it right then and there.. worst case only 1 person dies and that is the suicide bomber

How do you know that the people involved were white?

I have been "caressed" by the TSA, in addition, they searched through all of my things (including wallet (took all of my cards and pictures out and examined them) , books, luggage, etc.), questioned me about where I was going, what I was going to do when I get there, how long I will be staying, etc. the entire process took about 15 / 20 minutes after I was "randomly" selected. I am an American of German descent with blonde hair, light white skin and green eyes. Not sure how one can get more white than me...

We're putting security far above common sense or any form of dignity. This especially applies if you're not a Westerner, or look Western. Blame the superiors for not properly training. Then blame their superiors and so on.

This is not the first time US security officials have mistreated Indian officials at airports. India's former President and Defence Minister were both subjected to similar types of searches.

Would Americans like it if other countries started doing the same to them?

I read that diplomats flying internally in the United States are subject to security screenings just like anyone else. There is a mechanism where they can get expedited screening/waiver from the Secretary of State, but she didn't request it.

Have you flown through Jackson Mississippi lately? The last time I flew through there the TSA personnel were predominately black by a margin of 4-1. So for someone to say that the Indian Diplomat was singled out because she wasn't white may not be the case.

She doesn't want to follow the rules then she can choose to not fly in the USA.

Simple as that.

Why is the Ambassador flying commercial?

If you are flying with us commoners (India still has a caste system) then it goes with the territory.

The caste system is illegal in India, and I highly doubt the ambassador approves of the illegal use of caste
