Wow!

"Totalitarian Communism" finally has arrived to America.

The old North Korea/China/Vietnam/Khmer Rogue communist required that their citizens police & spies on their neighbors, and everyone must report to security officers at checkpoints in every town and cities before and after their travel.

I wonder how much of their freedom Americans are willing to give up in the name of war on terror, piracy, child porn, etc.

For many people, the answer is all of it. As we become a nation of helpless wimps, government will take on an ever larger role in taking care of us, part of taking care of us is controlling most aspects of our lives.

And that's jenga.

We're very close to the ONLY remaining option being lethal force against EVERY such occurrence. To think that any President or other official will knowingly relinquish power is ludicrous. It has never, and will never happen, except by force. It will change when masses of people take up weapons and cause a death toll that threatens to topple all of society. Nothing less will suffice against this level of fascist authoritarianism.

We can improve on their method. When our security is proven to be lax or failing we can employ quality assurance teams to go out and cause suspicious behavior. Anyone nearby who does not report is sent in for reeducation.

There will be bathroom checkpoints.

You will be told what bathroom , what time and whether you can do number 1 or number 2.

Pretty much all of it judging by the number of people that respond to things like DUI checkpoints, being patted down and having their car searched when stopped for a tail light violation with "I have no problem with it I have nothing to hide".

From the "about us" tab on TSAs homepage:

"Transportation" can mean just about anything they want it too.

Yep, they worded it such that you walking on the street can be construed as a form of "transportation". That means they have essentially unlimited jurisdiction to do pretty much whatever they want.

TSA was only handing out pamphlets at weigh stations and bus stations asking the drivers to contact authorities if they see anything suspicious.

I was referring to the random inspections by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, or are they actually allowed to randomly search trucks? Last I checked a truck iss the private property of someone. As for the TSA, I seriously doubt their efforts result in anything other than a waste of money.

NO NO NO NO NO!

I'm voting no for any politician that will not take action to disband the TSA immediately.

Watching the video, they do that already for drugs.

I didn't see anything bad from what was being done. Looks like the P&N bunch getting their panties in a wad again.

There is nothing good in any of this video. Fuck this shit. This is grossly overstepping their role.

The whole "If you see something, say something" is just a little too 1984 for me. Hell, 90% of the truck drivers in California are middle eastern. Our fucking government needs to pull their fucking heads out of their fucking asses.

the Colorado state patrol sets up random commercial truck check points all the time. its a safety inspection. they put up signs saying ALL commercial trucks must stop for inspection. the troopers check everything including throwing down portable scales and weighing the truck and like in the video they lay on a kreeper and check out under the truck.

One morning i saw a dump-truck make a u turn when he saw the sign, the troopers saw it and the stand by troopers ran to their cruisers and took off after him. lol dumbass.

You mean passing out leaflets and educating truck drivers? They do random searches now for drugs/etc already, why aren't you crying about that?

Who said I haven't? Wouldnt need random searches if the FED shut down the mexico border like its supposed and stopped sticking its nose where its not supposed too(TSA)

Commercial traffic is subject to search.

Unless you end up searching too many of any one group, then it's racial profiling.

Let's see how long before the TSA or other organizations that search commercial traffic are told to back off, especially now that the southern border has been opened up for Mexican truck drivers.

So we have two possibilities here:

1. The .gov thought it would be a good idea to bring in an additional .gov department complete with people on the ground, supervisors, coordination, etc... in order to hand out a flyer and "educate" truck drivers that if they "see something say something" instead of sending the people, who are already on the ground talking and dealing with the truckers everyday, a one hour DVD of how to say "if you see something say something"

2. This is a prelude to something much bigger in scope and size that the people already on the ground dealing with the truckers everyday can not handle.

The first is a colossal waste of money and resources, which all of us should be against for the simple fact that money and resources are rather tight right now, and you seem to be implying that it is not the second.
