When my brother was coming back from Blizzcon, they searched his bag and wrote, "FOR THE HORDE!" on his TSA ticket thing. Should he file a complaint too? I mean, I'm sure he feels threatened, because he plays Alliance! :p

I think at least in that case, the TSA agent could say that to your face and it wouldn't be considered unprofessional.

I don't think these people realize how invasive it is to have people rummaging through your stuff.

Eh, even if she does like the attention, finds it funny, and doesn't mind sharing a bit of her private life.... the person at TSA that did this really should be found and fired. Don't fuck with other people's shit.

+1. THIS is why she went public and complained. Sure, she may not have been offended, but MOST would be, and that is the issue.

And she's bonerific.

The thing is you agreed to let the people do it.

If you don't like it then don't bring luggage or fly.

Just had to go through one of those full body xray/scanners yesterday, and the thought of some morons back there being amused by it all doesn't make me feel any better about it.

Who is watching the people who watch us?

The funniest thing about this image is that it was actually published in the annual report for an airport in Birmingham, UK. :)

Well hello there...

No matter, it looks like girl's handwriting. Probably just a female TSA agent.

I got one of those slips in 2007 when returning home to GA from San Diego. I had just bought an expensive Black Friday bundle at Best Buy with several other items and placed all the receipts loose inside my luggage. Those bastards tossed all my receipts, rebate forms, and waranty papers!

I had rebates to fill out and I had purchased an extended warranty for which I later needed the receipts. I never filed a complaint because I didn't have the time.

WTF?!

Also, the TSA agent needs to study up on proper comma usage.

So get on a bus or drive.

No one is forcing you to accept it except yourself by using their service.

TSA is a bunch of asshats...I travel a lot and everytime they go into my bag and scatter everything. I end up with broken stuff, liquids spilling, small items missing...one time they opened my new sealed bag of 1000 zip ties and dumped them all into the suitcase.

If you hit traveltalk.com there is a lot of discussion on suspected TSA people selling stuff on ebay.

The problem with this story is there is no way to prove she did this herself since she is a lawyer as well as 'blogger'...plus she admits she found it funny yet now wants financial compensation.

It's going to help her career though.

Regardless of her fake hissy fit - the TSA just needs to do it's job. Not comment on anything they find.

But, of course, the TSA's lack of professionalism is totally moot, since some of you jerk offs get to bash an attractive young women.

Being in the feminist media, she likely faked it just to have something "offensive" to write about.

:hmm: I am not sure I understand the big deal. Is it unprofessional? Yes but it doesn't seem that offensive to me. Hey - guess what - the TSA might go through your stuff at the airport. If they do and you have a sex toy in there they are going to find it. You know you have it. They know you have it but everyone has to prentend no one knows its there . Its not like they waved it around in public shouting 'Guess what she had in her luggage?!'

The bigger issue - if you ask me - is that we let become ok for the TSA to get this invasive in the first place. They are a joke and a waste of money

The problem is it's not their place to evaluate the item. For all they know the owner wasn't getting any 'freak' on and may have been a lights out type of woman that was upset she had to resort to a toy.
