I was just wondering if anyone could help me with overclocking using a GA-K8NSC? The overclocling options are just horrendous and I really don;t know what to do...

I have an AMD 3000+ Venice core and it is sapposed to overclock just nice.

See if you have any memory settings, such as 333, 400, or ratios, such as 5:4 (what I use with my p4). With regular pc3200, a lower initial setting such as 333 will give you more stability. Start with a 250 cpu fsb setting, and if it won't post, try boosting the cpu vcore by .05. Not having the manual in front of me, I can't give you any more recommendations. Just general guidelines for overclocking. And be sure you can deal with a no post situation. Some gigabyte boards don't come with a cmos jumper for resetting the bios. Check the manual and be sure the board will automatically repost on it's own by defaulting to the original bios settings. My Msi board takes about 10-15 seconds to recover, or I have to manually shut down the power supply in back using the ps switch, then reboot. I've used gigabyte before, but not recently.

You might need to press F2 (not sure of key) to get all the BIOS menu's.

I don't think the S-ATA drives are locked on this board.
