Hello evereyone ! I'm planning to buy this Device (ASUS ROG RAIDR) through Amazon .. May be i'll wait a bit to see if the price drops a bit.
I almost buy another normal SSD like the Corsair Neutron GTX just to store there my Steam, Origin and Uplay Games., i already own a 840 PRO (256) as a main storage device (Boot device) and i wanted another ssd to store my games and this came out now, the RAIDR, if this is a faster device than my 840 pro i could leave the samsung SSD as storage for my games and take advantage of the RAIDR's speed to boot the OS, (COOL) but wait... I'm overusing my PCIE slots, i have 3 PCIE x1 ports, 2 PCIE 3.0 X16 ports and one PCIE 2.0 X16 port.
Im actually using:
-2XPCIE 3.0 in X8 and X8 (SLi Setup)
-1XPCIE 2.0 X16 in X4 mode (ASUS Soundcard)

So i have free only the PCIE X1 slots... is there any chance i could face a bandwidth issue adding the RAIDR to the very top port PCIE X1? My two GPUs are taking much bandwidth from the 3.0 ports and also the soundcard in the PCIE 2.0 X16 in X4... I'm really confused, can anyone explain this to me? Thanks you for your time and patience!

It needs a 2x slot, so you would need to install it in an x4 or higher, and then move your sound card to different 1x slot, if you have it. You need to install a given card in a slot with the same or higher physical lane count. Otherwise, you will find the back of the slot blocking your card.
