Trying to set up wireless gaming adapter

OK, I have a two routers, one wired the other wireless with a DSL connection. I am trying to set things up so that I can connect my xbox via the linksys gaming adapter I just got. Here is how things are currently. The dsl modem is connected to the wired router. I also have a couple computers connected to this router. Wireless router port 1 (not WAN) is connected to one of the wired router ports via a crossover cable. I have DHCP turned off on the wireless router. IP for wired is 192.168.254.254 and wireless is 192.162.254.250. I have another computer connected to one of the wired ports of the wireless router, it works fine and connect to the internet. But I can't get the gaming adapter to connect. I've used the setup to make sure the ssid's match and even tried disabling WEP on both. The xbox obtains an IP address ok, and appears to get the DNS servers also. But in the xbox networking screen where it goes through connecting it hangs while configuring DNS, even though when I look at the settings it has the right ones in there. I've tried the In and P1/2/3 settings for the linksys game adapter. Nothing seems to work though

What step am I missing to get the connection established? Everything works fine wired, it's just the wireless config that is giving me trouble. Unfortunately I don't have a wireless card for any of my computers since they are in the same room as the router making it not really necessary.

Any ideas?
