Trying to run Bioshock on Vista64

Hi all, as the title states, I am having trouble running bioshock on my new computer. (Q6600, 4 GB RAM, 8800 GT, MSI P7N) At first I couldn't get the in game sound to work, so I ran it in compatability mode with xp sp2. That fixed the sound, but now any time I attempt to increase the resolution past the default setting it quits responding. Also, the controls revert back to defaults every time. Thanks for your help!

Also, I have 175.19 for vista 64 for drivers.

Wow, it seems that after all that fiddling, a simple restart managed to solve all my problems. Thats good clean living for you.

Yes yes always reboot after you install something.

Oh and I have just abou the same system as you and it runs GREAT and dam the DX10 water and smoke woot.

IIRC it has the same "have to run it as admin once before it'll work" problem as Mass Effect -- same engine issue.

Mmmhmmm. I've got about the same as well, Q6600, 4GB RAM, 8800GT and it is indeed beautiful.
