Trying to run an old .exe

OK, I'm trying to run an old program from back in about '97 under Windows XP. I've switched the compatibility mode for it to 95, and 98, with no success. Now, I know this program can run under XP, as it's done so in the past, but I haven't tried any time recently, until now.

When I try to run it, I get the message:

"This program requires at least 3MB of free virtual memory to run"

Any ideas on ways I could try to solve this pronblem?

What is the program?

Did you ask the All-Knowing Google about running it under XP?

If it's asking about VM is it really a DOS app not a Win95 app?

If it's a game did you try DOSbox?

Solved it. Took a random punt and typed in the name of the program, and te first google hit was this problem. Needed to set VM to minimum 180 and maximum 200.
