Trying to retrieve files from old harddrive

I have my new computer up and running vista x64 on a SATA hdd, but I want to access another IDE harddrive's files, the IDE harddrive also has vista installed on it, but that vista was installed with totally different components, is this possible at all? is there a tutorial? Thanks very much

What you'll want to do is go ahead and put that old hard drive in with your new system. You essentially want to hook it up as a "slave" drive. There should be instructions on the hard drive itself as to where to move the jumper on it so it is recognized as such.

You should be able to see it once you boot up into Vista as a spare hard drive.
