Does anyone remember a game where you launch a projectile against an opponent and you can change the angle and amount of gunpowerder, and you also have to take the wind into account?

Also one of my friends used to have a game similar to that except you could launch many different projectiles such as nukes, balls that would roll downhill, and other weapons.

That's about all I can remember. Does anyone know the names of either of these games?

Those games were canon for budding programmers, there were zillions.
Scorched Earth was probably the best known until the Worms series of games.

as a kid...i played this one game where each player had a canon...and the objective was to hit the other guy's canon by adjusting angle/gunpowder...wind was a factor...it was called "Bang Bang"

I think the original was Artillery Duel for the 2600. Check it out here: Artillery Duel.

thats the one i played...

You should get it for mame. It still pwns all of the cheap knock-offs... except for perhaps Scorched Earth and Warheads.

Worms was good though. I used to play Scorched Earth all the time. I still have it on my computer. :)

There's a game called Cannon that you can play online w/ live opponents at Jippii.
