The movie has a young, fat, African American boy who grows up in the ghetto. He's extremely good at playing the piano, but all he has to play is a wooden board with keys on it. He envies the rich kids who get to play real pianos, such as this one Japanese girl who got to try out an expensive piano in a store. I can't remember his name, but he dreamed about playing at Carnegie.

Come on now... All I can remember was that I loved it. It wasn't as cheesy as it sounds. It had great ghetto scenes in it.

Wow, seriously? Did it have an inspirational music montage of him playing it? I can just see some little kid beating on a 2x4 while Chariots of Fire plays in the background.

I just wasted 5 minutes searching.... there's no such movie, I'm convinced!
