Trying to put together a care package for the GF

My girlfriend is doing a medical rotation at Emory in Atlanta... and I'm stuck up here in DC. I'm trying to put together a nice romantic/thoughtful care package to send to her.... here's what I have so far...

---------
Letter from me

Mix CD of music relevent to our relationship

a nice picture of the two of us...

a book "The best case scenarios" (she'll be a bit stressed out ,and working her ass off... this is a cheesy positive book, that I think she'll get a kick out of)

some of her favorite Godiva chocolates.

---------------------------------------------

and thats all I have so far... I really need some good ideas.... heeeelp.

When my girlfriend was in college and we were apart I used to make romantic packages for her once every couple of weeks. What I would do is make the container of the package present the gifts enclosed one at a time by unfolding or opening compartments wherein the gifts are contained.... kind of like an apple IPOD box... then I would paint and illuminate a poem or letter across the sections so that one section of writing is revealed as the gifts are presented....

Yes it's ridiculous but an Art student in love will do ridiculous things

😱

Gawd, that's plenty, dude!

My wife and a friend of ours were just discussing the awesome, romantic gifts they received while dating, compared to the practical gifts they receive today. 😀

Just ship that one off, and hope you can live up to this standard later!

maybe some aromatherapy shower gel or linen spray or something.. de-stressing or relaxing, help her unwind and sleep when she gets a chance, or energizing for when she has to drag herself out of bed after too little sleep.. peppermint foot lotion.. something like that.. pampering stuff.

That is plenty, don't overdo it. 🙂

A box that contains cake makings, cheap paper party favors, and a disposable camera. Tell her that she must have a party with several girl friends and they must take pictures as proof through the whole party. Have her send the disposable camera back to you when she's done it so you can develop them. 🙂

Yeah, I've done something like that before too... inspired by the iPod box. It's not just a gift. It's an experience 🙂

My fiancee already does that with her engaged friends. "What, you think it's gonna get better? Consider that big rock on your finger an advance-gift for a few years." 😛 😀

Doesn't help that she has friends who has just started dating, and their boyfriends are showering gifts to try to get them to put out. 😛

bubble bath accessories... and some candles.. "I'd like to be there to pamper you, but you'll just have to pamper yourself" - or think longer than I did (<1 second) and write something better... But, a bubble bath would probably be relaxing to her.
