A dell 4500 @2mhz w/ ddr2700 ram...
What socket do i have and how high can i go w/ a new processor ?

Shiat, son. Why are you upgrading? What could you possibly be doing that requires you go over 2 ghz and yet stick with a Dell? The rate your processor can go at depends on your L2 cache, which varies on 4500s. Need some more info.

I have the 4550, which used 533 mhz FSB, and I think the 4500 used 400 mhz FSB. You might go to www.powerleap.com and plug in your info there for an authoritative answer...

3.06 ghz P4; BIOS has no HT support. $276 from Powerleap; probably less elsewhere. Plug & go.

Or just run AIDA32; it'll tell you your socket type, FSB, and pretty much every other detail you could possibly need to know about your system.
