trying to ping computer on home network

Hello,

I have two computers on my home network. i tried to ping computer A from Computer B and could not reach it, the packets timed out.
but when i tried to ping computer B from Computer A, i managed to ping it. COmputer B has zone alarm installed. is that the reason i could not ping computer B even though both computers are on the same network.

if that is the case, can i enable zone alarm to let the pings from computer A to go through to computer B

Yes , just set zone alarm to allow all traffic (or just the type you want eg ICMP for ping) for the host of your choice

Zone Alarm in general is Not very Network friendly.
