trying to overclock P4 2.66 on Asus P4B533 mb

I'm trying to overclock this to 3.5 with a Koolance Water Cooler case with CPU, Video and Harddrive cooler.

System would run normally 2.66 at 82F or 28C. and max load at 88F and 31C

My question is on Asus P4B533, i can't change the multipliers setting. How can i change it. I can change the FSB

System run normally at 3.0 but restart if too much load

what else do i have to change beside FSB? and should and how can i unlock the multipliers setting?

thanks

actually the 2.66b is not a poor OCer and 3.5ghz is not exactly out of the question.

multipliers are locked tho ~ youll never get around that.

the p4b533 itself may be a problem ~ it may not be able to "power" a chip running @ 3.5ghz.

the p4b533 does have a hidden +3:4 mem ratio.
you can run 150fsb 400ddr (example) if you enable DS6 (dipswitch 6) on the motherboard.

HTH and gluck 🙂
