Trying to OC OCZ RAM

Alright, check my sig for all the relevant data on my specs. I have recently acquired 2x512mb Gold El Series RAM from OCZ. Everything is set to stock on these and I was wondering how I would be able to get them up to 1:1 with my 2400 mhz, 240 FSB * 10. Here's some relevant info.

Ram divider at 166mhz, comes up as 200mhz on CPUZ for some reason though...

Any more info or thoughts as to what I should do? I have a DFI Lanparty UT Ultra-D mobo.

I think your ram is the "Value VX" ram witch uses the BH5 chips. If thats the case they need volts. Set the jumper on your board to the over 3.0 volts position, and crank the volts to those puppies. You should be good to go with you memory timings, although with higher volts you should be able to run CAS 2 with those BH5's

And make sure you have the current bios for BH5's, DFI has different versions for different ram types. You definately have the board and the ram to produce a nice overclock. Good luck 🙂

Your memory speed should show up as 200 with your FSB @ 240 and a memory divider at 166.66

first calculate the integer idivider
10(multiplier) * 200(stock fsb) = 2000
2000 / 166.66(mem divider) = 12 (round this up if possible)

now to calculate your memory speed
10(multiplier) * 240(your fsb) = 2400MHz (i guess that was easy lol)
2400(your cpu freq.) / 12(the divider integer) = 200 🙂 see?
