Trying to network computer and printer wirelessly

hey guys
i have a HP laptop that i want to wirelessly connect to my printer via my desktop.
i have tried everything, sharing the printer, creating a ad-hoc network
and i cant do it, i have a wirless network any everything, but wont work,
what should i do
btw i have vista on both computers

Share the printer on desktop. Open IE on the laptop and connect to the desktop using \\<insert desktop name here>

Double click on the printer.

It the printer not networked? It's plugged directly into the PC? Then assuming the PC and Laptop can see each other, share it as above. You can just do a Start, Run, \\PC_Name to find the printer and install it.

If your Desktop connects to the Internet via the Router, and the Laptop too, it is only a matter of setting each computer Sharing ( millions can do it and you can too).

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is allowed to be shared.
