trying to make a P to P connection over a small lake

I live on a lake where half of it can get dsl and the other half has no hope. Guess which side im on, anyway i have a clear line of site to the location of the signal and i figured i could buy 2 LINKSYS WRT54GS routers and then hook them up to 2 of these antennas http://www.hyperlinktech.com/web/hg2424g.php and then download third party firmware for the routers to boost the signal and i should be able to do about a 200 meter hop with this setup. As far as I can see this should be good and if worst came to worst i could buy some signal amplifiers but i would think that these 2 outdoor mounted antennas should be enough but let me hear your thoughts or possible suggestions...

thanks

don't know about those antennas, two cantennas would prob work pretty well. Prob is, getting two routers to connect wireless is generally a pain in the ass. If they have a specific option to act as an access point with wireless being the uplink it would work; im sure some hacked firmare would do it though.

line of sight, 200 meters, outside antennas facing each other, placed at least 5 meters above ground and water. It will be a no brainer🙂
I'd set it up as a WDS system.
