Yes, I own the CD...heck I have an enviable record on NGStats too! Well, enviable as compared to say, how I was doing last month! :D

I want to make a backup CD so I don't have to keep using the main one. I have EZCD creator 4. I've burned two coasters already. Help me out here. PM?

UT is protected by safedisk i think, but wuts the point of making a backup? THe newest patch to 4.36(?) doesn't require a cd to play. But if you still want to copy it you need to use clone cd or something that can do RAW writing. I also think there is a generic safedisk patch somewhere out there

Man, I tell you, I just can't get a break. I download CDClone. Playing around with it, I discover that it has these "modes" (I think the file extension is .ccp or something like that) there's one for ProtCD, obviously "protected CD" Cool. Load that badboy up and see that it ticks various little boxes like "copy audio and data tracks separately" OK, cool.

Then I get an error message saying "Hitachi DVD G5000 is not compatible w/separate track copy" or something like that. I have a DVDRom that I use as my primary CDR. It's a 40x speed...I dunno. I guess I have to buy a new CDrom now? Advice, please.

last i heard a new UT is about 10 bucks or less... might as well get one if you need a backup copy or whatever.... and i know i tried making a backup way back more than a year ago, it won't copy for me......

make sure you have windows set to show all files then use cd creator to master a new cd make an image of all the files on the cd and include the patch that disables the cd check then burn that image to a cd all you need to do after that is install it then istall the patch and you are good to go.

IMO, EZCD Creator sux.
Use Nero Burn to make a CD to CD Copy. I copied my UT CD the same way & never had a problem.
What writer are you using?

I made a backup (yes backup, I know it's almost pointless now with the game only being $10 or so, but it gets tossed around a lot) with cloneCD and it works great.
