Trying to keep track of a huge backlog?

Check out backloggery.com.

Got the link from a friend a little while back and I've been checking it out for about a month or so. It's a pretty simple concept, you add the games you own, and update them as you play/beat them. There's also a "fortune cookie" feature that'll pick out a game for you to play from your list if you can't think of any.

Anyway, check it out. You can check out my profile here to see what it looks like.

Good god, listing out all the PS2/360/Wii/NDS - let alone PC - games I own and mean to play would take up a whole day!

I'd much rather spend that time to play games than make a to-do list of games I "should" play - makes it too much like work/a chore, thanks.

Eh, doesn't take that long. Took me ~20 minutes to do, and I have 180(!) games on steam, and several others on other consoles. The key really is to list only the games that have single player campaigns.

That said, it's easier than how I used to do it. I used to have a spreadsheet keeping track of my backlog. Perhaps I just like keeping stats, who knows.

Seems like a huge waste of time, youd be better off playing the games then typing in the games you need to play. This is strictly for stat nerds lol.

Well if I have x amount of games to play and y amount of hours in a day the y many of hours can i play x amount of games. Super stupid concept and a huge waste of time and effort..

Can't you just look at your shelf/steam/whatever and say "huh, I still haven't gotten around to beating that one"?

Done that for years... hasn't worked out well.

Guess I'm the only one here that finds this useful. Ever since I started using this, I've been hammering away at what's nearly an insurmountable backlog. But then again, I'm also hopelessly addicted to online stats, achievements, and whatnot.

Takes minimal effort overall, but whatever.

Sounds good in theory, but this just seems like one of those things that I wouldn't really utilize.

I'll look into it more tonight. Thanks.

No I think it's a great idea. I can't hit the site at work but I am going to sign up when I get home. Problem with just looking at your shelf or Steam for back logged games is that many of the games I plan on playing I haven't yet purchased and sometimes I end up forgetting them. This will allow you to keep track of the "yet to be purchased" games.

I understand the point of it. I still have unplayed PS2 games, I'd list them but I've forgotten most of their names....
