Trying to keep my composure...

My promotion was effective 9/6. My new manager seems to have failed to submit the proper paperwork for my raise and title change. HR shows nothing...

I'm now short like $500 after taxes in pay. Manager keeps telling me, "Must be HR's fault. Another of my team has been waiting for months."

WTF!!! Shouldn't a manager's priority be making sure her employees have everything lined up and ready to go?

She's refusing to reply to my emails today about it. If I don't hear back in the next hour or so I'll be going to HER boss.

Gawd this pisses me off. Makes me want to walk out and not come back until someone has my money. Of course, that would probably be my final paycheck. Sigh.

I'm just sitting here pissed and not able to work. If she'd just reply to my email and say she's working on it I'd feel better, instead of the silence today.

If that happened to me, I'd be like, "Bitch! You better get back in the kitchen and make me some pie!"

hahahah......I've been using that line a lot lately.

You're not short anything, so just relax. You have the same pay you've been receiving all along, yes? They'll work it out, so settle the hell down. No one likes a whiner like that in the work place. People make mistakes!

😉

It's my money. End of story. Getting it eventually doesn't cut it.

Tell you what, loan me $500 and I'll get it to you. Eventually. Don't whine about it either.

😉

Ok, good news.

Manager, after finally getting the woman on the phone, called payroll and straightened it out. I'll have a check made up for me on Monday.

Hopefully, the holiday on Monday won't have an effect. 😉

Crap. She lied. Still no money.

This is really pissing me off. She keeps promising and promising, but nothing happens. All bullsh!t.

You didn't loan your company $500 so that analogy doesn't work at all. Just calm down. You can easily keep on living with the same paycheck that you've been living with for this long. Eventually, you'll get it in some sort of retro-payment check and it'll be freaking huge. 🙂

On the other hand, you could always just quit 😉

I provided my labor at the promised rate, so yeah, it does work.

I'm sitting here $125 short on my rent because this manager can't get off her arse and do what she said she'd do over a month ago. If she'd never promised it was done, I wouldn't have counted on it.

Teach me.

I've obviously been spoiled by managers who actually give a rat's ass.

There is an old saying of...Don't count your chickens before there hatched..
In other words don't spend your money untill you get it.

Exactly. I felt pretty sympathetic at first, but spending extra money because you anticipate a raise is just dumb.

I've developed this incredible skill; it's called "not trusting people" and it works flawlessly. You should try it some time.

Whatever y'all punks are wrong.... he's owed that money and has every right to be pissed... If he had purchased a home based upon the agreed upon rate... and found himself short on a mortgage payment for example....

Thats some BS, and I would stop fvcking around, and go right up the command chain immediately...

If he purchased a home based on that rate, he'd be even stupider. That's why lending offices tend to want to see paystubs before loaning money.
