Well as the thread states I am trying to install Windows 8.1 on my system to dual boot from and I got this error
Windows cannot be installed on this disk
The selected partition has an MBR partition table
On EFI systems windows can only be installed on GPT disk

So far i found out that the reason I could not convert my MBR disk is it has apparently 2 partitions made from the Window 7 64bit OS currently on computer and I can only convert single partition disks. I looking for a way to do a non destructive change to disk to make it GPT. If not what steps do I need to make to get this setup working?

Well that may be an option later if nothing else works but this is a new computer and I prefer to start going GPT for future comparability. I using Acronis Disk Director and True Image how can I use them to get converted?

So how would I go about enabling legacy support I need to do on my motherboard? Its a ASUS Sabertooth Z77 so I can see how that works?
