Trying to install power door locks.

I'm trying to install power door locks in my car. I pulled out some actuators out of an old car.

How they work is when you put positive power to the positive and negative-to-negative they lock, when you put negative to positive and positive to negative then unlock.

Here?s my problem, my remote starter has keyless entry on it, and when I press lock/unlock, it sends out 0.6volts/500mA of power to either the lock or the unlock wire.

I need to get/make something that will send voltage to my actuator when it receives the 0.6volts from my remote start unit. While having the actuator connected to the batt.

So basically I need to get a switch that turns on and off via an electrical current.

Anyone have any idea?s?

I thought you were going to instal power door locks on your computer! That would be a serious mod! 🙂 Sorry, can't help you on the real subject however.

some kind of a logic circuit is what you need i think. did this stuff a couple quarters ago. dont remember much about it🙂 good luck

Hmm, would a latching relay with 2 sets of form C outputs do the trick? One that trips when voltage is applied, not when closing a contact.
