Trying To Install 2nd HD (SATA)

I just bought a Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600JS 160GB Serial ATA II 7200RPM Hard Drive w/8MB Buffer

I have a Western Digital Raptor WD740ADFD 74GB Serial ATA 10,000RPM Hard Drive w/16MB Buffer

Everything runs fine with the raptor.
When i connect my 160gb drive i just bought it freezes at startup.
It detects my raptor and it goes to the Windows XP Logo and it just freezes there.

My mobo is a ABIT VIAK8T

The SATA cables are going directly onto the mobo, I do not have a seperate PCI card.

Please let me know how I can fix this, I wanted to use the 160gb as storage. Thanks.

What is your power supply rated at? What are your other components? Maybe it's just too much power being pulled from it...

2x512MB Ram
Geforce 7800 GS 256MB AGP
I think a 16x DVD Burner

Check your HD boot order and make sure the Raptor is still first.

My bios does not detect the HD's untill after it starts to boot. It should detect my raptor as my primary as it does go up to the Windows XP Loading screen. My guess is my Mobo does not support SATA II, or should it? I'm not too sure.
