I have no pic. Sorry. But I do have a small description.

Probably an inch long. Skinny. Brownish in color. Had wings. The antenas were about as long as its body. It was flying. It's back legs were kinda long, reminded me of a grasshopper.

Can cochroaches fly? It scared me! I smushed it with a newspaper and flushed it down the drain before I thought about taking a pic.

Yes, many roaches do fly. Roaches do not have hopping style legs though. It could have been a cricket, which can also fly and come in lots of flavors.

I am typically a very clean person and have a clean house (aka no food lying around). So did it just get in or do I have to worry about something? Definitely looked roach-y...

A roach is a beetle-like creature.

If it had long, grasshopper/cricket style legs, it was not a cockroach.

Clean has nothing to do with seeing a roach. They are very adept at survival. Even a neat freak in Florida will have roachs. The best defense against roaches is the baited traps. Get the one for German roaches if it makes you feel better.

Living in Calgary (not known for its millions of roach species), I would not expect too many (which is why I am guessing something like a cricket.) But, scrabs (beetles) do have long antenna too. The grasshopper legs are the mystery for a roach. Much thicker, "muscular"?

Haha, I actually live in Cincinnati. I forgot I put Calgary...it is where Lance Storm the wrestler hails from...

Its back legs reminded me of a grass hopper. They were not nearly as long...but it was like minature ones and they were bigger than its other 2 pairs of legs. I am positive it was absolutely not a grasshopper. So I should get roach traps?

Getting roach traps will not hurt. Get them as roachs are good at hiding.

Did the legs go back parallel to the floor or up perpendicular to the floor and back down?

Looked like parallel after I killed it and turned it over. It's back legs at that time were noticeably larger. They were like a pair of 7's .... a backwards 7 and a 7. Kinda pertruded out beyond it's skinny body at the joint. Then back in towards the body at the tips of the legs. Larger than its other 2 pairs. I'm almost certain a roach and now I feel dirty. I didn't know they made traps specifically for roaches. I have a 2 story house, and this guy was flying around in my bedroom. So do I have to get a sh!tload of traps all over the house?

Just follow the directions. Under sinks, in pantry.

BUT roach legs do not do the 7 thing. It sounds like a cricket. The most common cricket is black, but there are some cool brown ones and an almost white one too. Google/Dogpile is your friend.

Wood roach might be correct. It was brown in color except for the wings. Kind of blended in to my wood clothes drawer...but I still was able to find it and nail it with the paper. I will get roach traps. Thanks guys.

Do they come in chocolate flavors?

Termites are tiny, white bugs about the size of ants. He is pulling your chain, and very successfully at that. ;)
