Trying to get this crap off of my katana

So, i bought some $35 katana in china town (chicago) and it has some problems.

the major thing is that everytime i put it in its crappy plastic sheath (spelling? scabbard?) and take it out, it gets this weird white stuff on it. i think its like some time of oil stuff that been dried up, and its hard to get off. when i do get it off though, i just get more on the sword everytime i put it back!

this sucks i want to get rid of it so my sword can be forever shiny!

Sex smurf, it came like that...so it must have been those chinese....

i dunno what type it is, and i couldnt suck the crap out, its like stuck inside the sheath and only comes out because the katana rubs up against it.

anything i could use that fits in the sheath to get it out?.......dont take that the wrong way. lol

Throw the sheath in the trash. Which is probably where a $35 sword belongs, too.

Wrap the katana in some paper towels or something and slide it in the saya (the sheath). It's probably either some lubricant or oil to prevent rust.

Is the sheath made of fiberglass or some type of plastic? Maybe the sword is slicing a thin layer off each time you take it out.

Um, i'm really not sure exactly what it is...might be fiberglass

and no, its not plastic/fiberglass its taking off...its like remants of that crappy cheap oil they had on it...i tried rinsing the whole thing out with water and that didnt help.
